Our Story
Founded in Fort Wayne in 1972, the Indiana Jewish Historical Society is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and sharing the rich Jewish experience in Indiana. With a headquarters now in Indianapolis, the organization has expanded its initiatives to include historic preservation and community engagement.
Impact
The IJHS has made significant strides in preserving Indiana's Jewish heritage, including the establishment of state historical markers and the launch of the IN-Jewish History Podcast, which educates the public about the contributions of Jews in Indiana.
