Our Story

Established in 1965 on Florida’s Space Coast, the Indian Harbour Beach Volunteer Fire Department began with a small group of dedicated individuals and minimal resources. Over the years, this department has grown to over 30 active members, including students, engineers, teachers, and service members, all committed to serving their community. Led by Fire Chief David Lewis and a skilled command staff, the department trains rigorously to ensure readiness for any emergency.

Impact

Responding to approximately 100-120 calls for service each year, the department effectively handles a range of emergencies, from alarms to structure fires.
