Independent Environments

Our Story

Founded in 1979 in Eugene, Oregon, Independent Environments, Inc. was established by passionate parents seeking housing options for adults with physical disabilities. Collaborating with the University of Oregon and the Department of Housing and Urban Development, they secured funding to create a supportive home for their loved ones. Today, IEI oversees 11 homes and supports 31 individuals, adapting services to meet their evolving needs.
