About Independence Youth Cycling

Independence Youth Cycling (IYC) emerged from the successful Southern Montgomery Youth Mountain Bike Team (SoMont MTB), which began in 2016 with just nine student athletes. As an affiliate of the National Interscholastic Mountain Bike Association (NICA) and the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Cycling League (PICL), IYC has expanded its reach to serve middle and high school students across southeastern Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. With a dedicated team of 25 coaches and 45 student athletes from 10 school districts, IYC is committed to providing year-round cycling opportunities that foster physical fitness and social engagement.
