Our Story

The Independence Girls Softball Association was established in March 1978 to provide young girls in the community with the opportunity to develop essential softball skills, coordination, and agility. Over the years, IGSA has evolved, moving from the old Bridger Junior High Fields to the state-of-the-art Dennis Waits Softball Complex, built with the support of local volunteers and government assistance. Today, IGSA offers various age divisions, focusing on recreational softball for girls aged 3 to 18.

Our Impact

IGSA has successfully fostered a supportive environment where young girls can learn and enjoy the game of softball, building skills and friendships that last a lifetime. The Dennis Waits Softball Complex serves as a premier facility for the community, enhancing the overall experience for players and their families.
