Our Story

Dorothea's vision to assist individuals with modest incomes in achieving financial stability led to the creation of Increasing H.O.P.E. Inspired by her faith, she established a mission encapsulated in the acronym H.O.P.E, which stands for Helping Others Prosper Economically. In 2003, recognizing the critical need for financial education, she founded the Increasing H.O.P.E Financial Training Center, which received its 501(c)(3) status in 2005. Since then, the organization has empowered thousands through comprehensive financial literacy programs and has expanded its services to support female entrepreneurs and minority-owned businesses.

Impact

Increasing H.O.P.E has successfully trained thousands in financial literacy, collaborating with community businesses, schools, and other nonprofits. The organization has recently launched a small business incubator for female entrepreneurs and an accelerated pilot program for minority entrepreneurs, fostering economic growth and empowerment.
