About the Inclusive Engineering Foundation

The Inclusive Engineering Foundation (IEF) was established in 2021 to unite leading minority-serving institutions in academia, industry, and government. This initiative focuses on critical diversity efforts aimed at increasing the representation of African American, Hispanic, and Native American graduates in engineering fields, with a strong emphasis on gender diversity.

Impact of IEF

In the past year, IEF-supported programs have conducted 18 dedicated workshop sessions, engaging nearly 600 participants in training on anti-racism in engineering, diversity and inclusion, and best practices in hands-on education and remote labs.
