Our Story

In October 1994, Jasper and Carolyn Bacon, inspired by a vision to reach the unchurched, founded In His Steps Ministries in Canton, Mississippi. Supported by Riverwood Bible Church, this ministry began with a mission to provide outreach and support to at-risk children and families. Since receiving 501(c)(3) status in 1995, IHS has developed various programs aimed at transforming lives through faith and community service.

Impacting Lives

In His Steps Ministries focuses on five key areas of outreach, including evangelizing juvenile offenders and offering long-term preventive services through the SPASE program. This initiative supports at-risk children from second grade through 12th grade, fostering academic success and spiritual growth.
