Our Story
In As Much Ministry began in 1986 as a humble bread and diaper ministry on the porch of Don and Dorothy McClain. By 1988, the ministry had officially adopted its name and started utilizing a closet at Second Baptist Church. In 1990, In As Much Ministry became an affiliate of Harvesters Community Food Network, and in April 1991, it joined The Emergency Food Assistance Program, a vital initiative operated through Harvesters by the US Department of Agriculture. Incorporated as a nonprofit agency in 1993, In As Much Ministry has grown significantly, now distributing over 10,000 pounds of food to families each week through various programs, including regular distribution hours, kids weekend food programs, and a special dietary program for gluten-free needs.
