IMPACT Silver Spring
EIN: 52-2164844 · Silver Spring, MD
Our Story
Founded in 1999 during the revitalization of downtown Silver Spring, IMPACT Silver Spring emerged from a collective of activist residents led by Frankie Blackburn. The organization was established to ensure that the diverse voices of the community were included in the redevelopment process. Over the years, IMPACT has evolved its mission to focus on dismantling racial inequity and economic disparities, which are the root causes of community disintegration.
Our Impact
This year alone, IMPACT has engaged over 4,500 residents in Montgomery County, working tirelessly to combat racism, cultivate leaders, connect communities, and enhance economic power.
