IMPACT of the Piedmont

Our Story

IMPACT of the Piedmont is a beacon of hope for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in Davie and Yadkin Counties, North Carolina. Born from the advocacy efforts of passionate community members, the organization has transformed dreams into reality by establishing vital care facilities such as Davie County Group Home and Milling Manor. In 2017, these two entities merged to form a stronger community support system, and in 2022, the organization rebranded to IMPACT of the Piedmont. With the recent addition of Yadkin Home Place in 2023, the mission remains clear: to empower individuals with I/DD to lead fulfilling lives within their communities.
