IMPACT for Developmental Education

Our Story

Founded in 1979 by a dedicated group of parents, IMPACT for Developmental Education, Inc. emerged from a pressing need to support children with special needs. Over the years, the organization has evolved, offering vital early intervention services to children from birth to age 5 through partnerships with Early Steps and the Lee County School System. With two preschool locations in Fort Myers and Cape Coral, IMPACT serves children ages 3-5 through the Lee County School System Pre-K ESE program, welcoming both full-time and part-time preschoolers from the community.

Our Impact

IMPACT provides a nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning environment for all preschool-aged children, alongside in-home instruction for parents of infants and toddlers with special needs. This approach fosters essential communication skills, social/emotional growth, physical development, and cognitive advancement.
