Our Story

Immigration Law & Justice Michigan, formerly known as Justice for Our Neighbors Michigan, has been a beacon of hope for low-income immigrants since 2004. Originating from the First United Methodist Church of Grand Rapids, this organization has expanded to include multiple clinics across the state, driven by a faith-based commitment to justice and support. In 2018, the four clinics merged to form a statewide organization, enhancing the ability to serve a growing number of clients.

Impact

In 2023, legal services provided by ILJ-MI increased by 33%, demonstrating a significant response to the rising needs of the immigrant community.
