Immigrant Welcome Center

Our Story

The Immigrant Welcome Center was established in 2006 by a dedicated group of 12 volunteers known as Natural Helpers. Founded to address the needs of immigrant newcomers in Central Indiana, the center has evolved significantly over the years. In 2020, the organization proudly appointed its first female CEO of color and an immigrant, Gurinder Kaur, marking a new chapter in its commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Impact

In 2023, the Immigrant Welcome Center served numerous clients from various countries and languages, showcasing its broad impact on the immigrant community in Indiana. The center empowers immigrants by connecting them to vital resources, services, and support, fostering their social, civic, and economic integration.
