Our Story

In the early 1980s, a family migrated from Haiti to the United States, starting with nothing but hope and determination. Through hard work in the fields and packing houses, they built a life and eventually opened the first Haitian-owned business in Immokalee, Florida. This journey exemplifies the American Dream, showcasing that with perseverance, anyone can succeed.

Today, the legacy of this family continues through the Haiti Education Fund, Inc. (H.E.F.), a nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting impoverished youths in Haiti. Inspired by their mother’s memory, the family aims to share the path to success with the next generation in their hometown of Dufour Miragoane, Haiti.

Our Mission

H.E.F. focuses on providing educational and nutritional support to young Haitians, many of whom lack access to basic resources. By investing in education, H.E.F. believes that these youths can break the cycle of poverty and return to uplift their communities.

Impact

H.E.F. will uplift communities by providing educational support, extracurricular activity support, nutritional support in schools, and leadership training.
