The Illinois Valley Center for Independent Living (IVCIL) is dedicated to assisting persons with disabilities in achieving their independence. Serving Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall, Putnam, and Stark counties, IVCIL advocates for the dignity and rights of individuals, ensuring they have the freedom to choose their paths.
Making a Lasting Impact
Since its inception, IVCIL has successfully transitioned 45 individuals from nursing homes to community living, while also helping 32 people secure home services to avoid institutionalization. The organization has provided essential support, including sign language interpreters for 48 appointments and advocacy in 68 special education meetings.
