Our Story

Founded in 1968, Illinois Right to Life is the oldest pro-life organization in Illinois, dedicated to educating the public on the beauty and value of all human life from fertilization through natural death. In response to the growing influence of the abortion industry, a group of four doctors and one attorney established this organization to present the truth about life and abortion. Over the past 50 years, Illinois Right to Life has led innovative pro-life initiatives that have shaped the movement in the state.

Impact

With over 10,000 lives saved, Illinois Right to Life has made a significant impact in the community. Our Heart2Heart Educational Program has transformed the views of 94% of students, including those who initially identified as pro-choice. In just two years, we have reached 3,500 young adults through live presentations, and our online outreach has connected with over 600,000 individuals. Additionally, our Project Love grant program has provided $0.5 million in financial assistance to mothers in crisis.
