Our Story

The Idaho Catholic Foundation was established on December 24, 1990, by Bishop Tod D. Brown, with a generous initial gift from retired Boise Bishop Sylvester Treinen. Over the years, the foundation has grown significantly, now holding over $32 million in assets to support the long-term needs of the Diocese of Boise.

Impact

As of April 30, 2021, the Idaho Catholic Foundation manages $32,884,310 in funds and trusts, with distributions exceeding $2.8 million in 2013 and $1,150,674 in the last calendar year, directly benefiting the mission of the Church.
