The Ida C. Koran Foundation was established in honor of Ida Koran, Ecolab’s first employee, who dedicated 44 years to the company. Upon her passing in 1967, she left a trust fund to assist Ecolab employees facing financial hardships. This legacy began in the late 1920s when she personally lent money to colleagues in need, showcasing her unwavering commitment to the workforce.
Since its inception, the Trust has provided over $5.3 million in academic assistance to more than 1,060 students and $2 million in financial relief to nearly 500 associates, significantly improving the lives of Ecolab employees and their families.
