Our Story
Founded in 2011 by United States Military Veterans, iPods for Wounded Veterans began with a simple mission: to bring joy to wounded veterans recovering in military hospitals. Paul Cardello and John Parker discovered that music could significantly uplift the spirits of these brave individuals. On their first visit to Walter Reed Military Medical Center, they delivered 32 iPods, quickly realizing that more was needed. This sparked a commitment to raise funds and gather resources to ensure every wounded soldier received a gift. Today, the organization continues to provide MP3 players, tablets, headphones, magazines, and heartfelt letters to enhance the quality of life for our wounded heroes. With a Class A security clearance, volunteers personally deliver these gifts, fostering meaningful interactions with veterans and their families.
