Founded in 1997 by Lena Miller, Hunters Point Family began as GIRLS 2000 to address the unique challenges faced by girls in the Bayview/Hunters Point neighborhoods of San Francisco. Over the years, the organization has expanded its mission to provide comprehensive support services for youth and families, focusing on empowerment and community interconnectivity.
Hunters Point Family empowers youth and families in under-resourced neighborhoods, helping them thrive and become productive community members.
