Hunter Health Clinic
EIN: 48-0908355 · Wichita, KS
Our Story
Founded in 1976 by Dr. Vernon Dyer, Hunter Health Clinic was established to deliver culturally relevant healthcare services tailored to the Urban Native American community of Wichita. Starting from a modest room at the Mid-America All-Indian Center, the clinic quickly expanded, becoming the first federally funded Community Health Center in Kansas by 1980. Over the years, Hunter Health has integrated a comprehensive care model, offering medical, dental, and behavioral health services while maintaining a strong focus on the Native American community.
