Founded in April 2009, Hunger Resource Network is dedicated to alleviating hunger by connecting surplus food with those in need. Operating through Community Outreach Days and the Poultry to Pantries program, HRN coordinates services through recipient agencies to maximize impact.
Since its inception, HRN has distributed over 4.5 million pounds of food, assisted hundreds of seniors, and provided over 30,000 nutritionally designed meals to students. This effort has rescued tens of thousands of pounds of food from going to waste.
Every dollar donated helps HRN buy 4 servings of healthy, protein-rich chicken for those in need. A $25 donation equates to 100 protein servings, making a significant impact on food insecurity in the community.
