Our Story

The Hunger Relief Organization, known as HeRO, was founded in 1992 with a mission to end world hunger, focusing on the children of Honduras. In partnership with the Honduran government since 2006, HeRO has implemented programs that provide food in schools, significantly boosting attendance rates.

Our Impact

HeRO currently operates feeding programs at eleven rural schools, serving over 2,000 children daily. This initiative not only nourishes young minds but also plays a crucial role in breaking the cycle of extreme poverty in Honduras.
