About Hunger Intervention Program

Founded in 1998, Hunger Intervention Program (HIP) began with a dedicated group of volunteers serving healthy meals in downtown Seattle. Since becoming a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2008, HIP has expanded its reach, providing essential meal programs and educational initiatives to enhance food security for underserved populations in North King County.

Impact

HIP serves over 10,000 meals each month to children, families, seniors, and unhoused individuals, significantly improving food security in the region.
