Our Story

Humanity for Relief and Development (HRD) was founded in 2018 by Maeen Ali, who was inspired to take action after losing his brother in the Yemen conflict. Unable to remain passive, Maeen established the first Mercy Bakery to provide fresh bread to families in need, including his brother's widow and children. This initiative quickly expanded, leading to the establishment of 10 bakeries across Yemen, Pakistan, and Türkiye, with plans for further growth.

Our Impact

Since its inception, HRD has focused on addressing the pressing needs of the Yemeni people. By creating programs that enhance food security, improve access to clean water, and develop livelihoods, HRD has made a significant difference in the lives of many. The organization sources supplies locally, bolstering the economy while ensuring that communities receive sustainable food through its bakery and kitchen projects.
