Founded in 1977, the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, operating as the Humane Society of Rock Island County, is the first and only No-Kill shelter in the Quad Cities. This organization is dedicated to providing shelter for homeless animals, offering spay/neuter programs, and promoting humane education.

Impact on the Community

Last year, QCAWC provided care for over 1350 animals and performed more than 4300 spay/neuter surgeries, significantly reducing the number of unwanted pets in the area.
