Our Story
The Humane Society of Northwest Georgia, founded in 1977, has been a beacon of hope for animals in need. Originally known as the Dalton Humane Society, the organization has evolved over the years, moving to a new facility in 2019 to better serve the community. With a commitment to finding loving homes, HSNWGA adopts out between 700 and 800 cats and dogs each year.

With a vision of a community where no healthy adoptable pets are euthanized, HSNWGA focuses on saving more animals and educating the public about responsible pet ownership.
