Our Story
The Human Needs Food Pantry was established in 1982 as an outreach program of the First Baptist Church of Montclair. Over the years, it has evolved into an independent, nonsectarian nonprofit organization, serving a diverse client base across multiple towns in Essex County and beyond.
Impact
In 2021 and 2022, HNFP welcomed 1,408 new households, equating to over 4,321 individuals served. The organization distributed over one million pounds of food and provided essential items like school backpacks and winter gear.
