Hui Aloha Aina Momona
EIN: 27-3930989 · Kaneohe, HI
Our Story
Hui Aloha Aina Momona emerged from the legalization of pa’i’ai in 2011, aiming to ensure a bowl of poi on every table in Hawai’i. This nonprofit is dedicated to teaching indigenous farming methods and food preparation techniques, fostering a healthier Aina and community. Nestled on a 3-acre farm, it produces kalo, olena, pork, and awa, fulfilling the kuleana of this land.
Impact
With community support, the organization has secured its subsistence farm site after 8 years of leasing, paving the way for a subsistence farm school to enhance community impact.
