Established in 1998, Houston Sheltie Sanctuary is the oldest Sheltie Rescue Program in Houston and one of the largest in the nation. With a dedicated network of over fifty volunteers, the organization rescues Shelties from shelters, provides essential veterinary care, and rehomes them into loving families.

Since its inception, the sanctuary has rescued over 1,500 Shelties, offering them medical care and behavioral rehabilitation. Each year, over 100 Shelties receive assistance, making a significant impact in the local community.
