Our Story

The Maverick program was established in 2003 by Gordon and Maria Morrow, originally known as the Sports Association of Texas Christian Homeschoolers. Over the years, the Morrows transformed the program into a powerhouse, providing exceptional coaching and facilities for homeschooled students. In 2015, the program transitioned to Houston Homeschool Athletics, continuing the legacy of competitive sports under new leadership. HHA proudly offers opportunities in basketball, volleyball, track and field, and cross country, fostering a strong community spirit among families.

Impact

Houston Homeschool Athletics thrives on the dedication of volunteers who contribute their time and energy to support the children. Despite relying on volunteer efforts, HHA faces significant expenses, including facility rentals and insurance. To maintain affordable participation fees and provide scholarships for those in need, the organization seeks the generosity of the community.
