Founded in 2007 with a vision from Mayor Bill White, the Houston Employee Relief Organization Inc (HERO) was established to support municipal employees who risk their lives for the community. Inspired by the 100 Club, HERO aims to provide immediate financial assistance to families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
