The Houston County Volunteer Medical Clinic opened its doors in January 2005, thanks to generous funding from Houston Healthcare, the Houston Medical Center Auxiliary, and local businesses and individuals. This clinic is dedicated to providing free primary health care to working, uninsured residents of Houston County, Georgia, relying on the commitment of volunteer medical professionals and the support of the community.

Since its inception, the clinic has treated over 1,400 patients, with approximately 800 annual visits, serving nearly 250 active patients. This demonstrates a significant impact on the health of the working uninsured in the area.
