The Housing Trust Fund of Santa Barbara County was established by community leaders to tackle the pressing affordable housing crisis in the region. As a nonprofit financing agency and Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), HTF forges innovative partnerships across the private, public, and nonprofit sectors to create sustainable housing solutions for low-to-middle income residents.
Since 2004, HTF has committed nearly $10 million in direct financing, resulting in the creation of 421 units of permanently affordable housing for vulnerable populations, including low-income families and senior citizens.
