Our Story

Housing Solutions of Northern Arizona, originally founded as the Affordable Housing Coalition in 1990, emerged from the grassroots efforts of local citizens dedicated to addressing the affordable housing crisis in Flagstaff. This nonprofit organization has evolved from advocacy to implementing programs that empower residents to secure and maintain safe, decent, and affordable housing.

Impact

In the past year, Housing Solutions has administered $154,000 in financial assistance to 11 households, enabling them to purchase their first homes. The organization manages 25 affordable rental units, providing homes for 42 adults and 42 children. Additionally, 145 households benefited from pre-purchase and credit counseling, while 99 individuals found safety and support at Sharon Manor. The organization continues to assist families even after they leave Sharon Manor, ensuring ongoing support and stability.
