Our Story
NeighborWorks Housing Solutions (NHS) was established in 2019 through the merger of NeighborWorks Southern Mass and Housing Solutions for Southeastern Massachusetts. With a legacy dating back to 1970, NHS is dedicated to developing housing and providing essential resources and education. The organization collaborates with public and private partners to foster thriving communities, emphasizing that stable, affordable housing is crucial for individual and family well-being.
Our Impact
NHS has successfully developed nearly 900 units of affordable housing, with hundreds more in the pipeline. As the largest rental assistance provider in the region, NHS administers nearly 2,900 state and federal rental subsidies, serving over 12,000 families annually. Since 2012, NHS has housed over 5,000 formerly homeless families and helped 500 secure employment through workforce development partnerships.
