Our Story
Housing Helpers, Inc. is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on the rehabilitation and advocacy of housing in Maywood. Founded in 1990 by Vera Fina, the organization works tirelessly to address affordable housing concerns by acquiring vacant and abandoned properties, renovating them, and selling them to low to moderate-income families.
Our Impact
To date, Housing Helpers has successfully returned market value to 39 single-family homes, generating an average of $234,000 in restored property tax generation per year for the Village of Maywood.
