Our Story
Housing for Health Orange County (HHOC) was founded to empower unhoused individuals by addressing their housing needs alongside their physical and mental health. Through partnerships with local service providers, HHOC dismantles barriers within regulatory bodies, uniting resources across cities to tackle homelessness as a shared community issue.
Initially, HHOC offered Housing Navigation Services to support individuals at risk of losing housing or those experiencing homelessness. The organization provides up to $5,000 in Housing Deposits to assist with rental and move-in costs, and focuses on long-term housing stability through Housing Sustainability and Tenancy Services. These services include financial management, community integration, and health management support.
HHOC has expanded its offerings to include Day Habilitation Services for life skills development, Enhanced Care Management for complex health needs, and Short-term Post-Hospitalization housing support. With a commitment to collaboration and scalable impact, HHOC bridges gaps in funding, resources, and services for Orange County’s most vulnerable populations.
Contracted with CalOptima, HHOC extends its reach through CalAIM, supporting a diverse client base. The organization’s approach has attracted attention from state and regional organizations as a promising model for addressing homelessness, with plans to expand its reach beyond county borders.
