Our Story
The House of the Good Shepherd was established in 1872 by a group of concerned citizens in response to the growing number of orphans and family disruptions in Central New York. Originally an asylum for neglected and destitute children, it has evolved into a Sanctuary Certified Institution providing treatment, education, and support services to children and families.
