Our Story

Founded in 2000 by Dawn Leneice Murray, House of Dawn, Inc. emerged from a heartfelt need for a safe haven for pregnant and parenting teen mothers. After witnessing a young mother turned away from a shelter due to her age, Mrs. Murray, a dedicated Parenting Education Instructor, established the House of Dawn Second Chance Home. This nonprofit provides essential housing and supportive services, helping young mothers and their children build a brighter future.
