Our Story

In 2000, the only hospice in Idaho Falls was closed, leaving a significant gap in care for terminally ill patients. A dedicated group of former employees, including Marilyn Watts, Ray Barnes, and Chuck Rice, recognized the urgent need for hospice services and established Hospice of Eastern Idaho. Overcoming early challenges, this nonprofit has thrived thanks to the unwavering support of staff, volunteers, and generous donors. Today, it continues to provide exceptional care that transcends the basic medical guidelines set by Medicare and Medicaid.
