In July 2002, the Hospice House opened its doors, offering a 'home away from home' for short-term residential care. This facility was made possible through a community-wide capital campaign that raised over $1 million, showcasing the generosity and support of local contractors and suppliers.

Located in the Historic Triangle and serving the tidewater area, Hospice House collaborates closely with local healthcare providers to ensure that guests and their families receive the necessary services. The organization welcomes all individuals, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or income, providing all services free of charge.
