Our Story
Horse to Heart began with a big horse named Connecticut and the compassionate heart of Kim Sweeney. After Connecticut suffered an injury while jumping, the stables decided to put him down. Kim, believing in his potential for recovery, purchased him for just $1. With the help of veterinarians and a skilled Ferrier, Connecticut healed and found a new purpose at a ranch designed for children.
As word spread about the positive impact of the program, more horses in need of homes were welcomed. Each horse is carefully matched with a child, fostering responsibility, commitment, and unconditional love. The program not only rescues horses but also enriches the lives of children from diverse backgrounds.
