Our Story

Founded in 1977 by Camille Caffarelli, Horizons for the Blind began with a vision to provide tactile exhibits and braille signage for cultural centers. Starting with just two volunteers in a basement, the organization has grown to employ over 30 professionals, nearly half of whom are blind or visually impaired. This growth reflects a commitment to equal accessibility and employment opportunities.

Impact
