Founded in 1952 by visionary Marcella Schmoeger and a dedicated group of citizens, Horizon House began as a support group for former mental hospital patients transitioning back into the community. Over the decades, the organization has expanded its services to meet the evolving needs of individuals facing mental illness, intellectual disabilities, and homelessness. Today, Horizon House serves over 5,000 individuals annually, providing essential support and resources to help them lead fulfilling lives.
