Founded in 1952 by visionary Marcella Schmoeger, Horizon House began as a support group for former mental hospital patients transitioning back into the community. Over the decades, the organization has evolved, expanding its services to meet the diverse needs of individuals facing mental health challenges, intellectual disabilities, and homelessness. Today, Horizon House serves over 5,000 individuals annually, providing essential support and resources to help them lead fulfilling lives.
