The organization emerged in response to a situation known as a 'bunny explosion,' where misgendered rabbits led to unexpected litters. Recognizing the lack of resources for rabbits in local shelters, the founders took action by raising awareness through posters and social media, ultimately forming a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and rehoming rabbits.
