Our Story

Founded in 1985 by the Episcopal community, HopeWorks began as a response to the immediate needs of those experiencing homelessness. Initially focused on providing meals, the organization has evolved to address the complex challenges faced by individuals today. With a dedicated workforce of nearly 100, HopeWorks operates with a budget of approximately $9 million, offering nationally recognized programs that tackle the multifaceted issues surrounding homelessness.

As one of the largest homeless service providers in New Mexico, HopeWorks provides essential access to day shelter, housing, and mental/behavioral health services. The whole-person approach ensures that individuals receive the healing, safety, and support they need to overcome trauma and rebuild their lives.
