Our Story

What started as a backyard barbecue among friends in Tampa has transformed into the Tampa Pig Jig, a vibrant annual fundraiser dedicated to fighting Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and Nephrotic Syndrome. This event, featuring renowned country and rock music artists, delicious food, and a spirited BBQ competition, has become a cornerstone of community support since its inception in 2011.

Impact

Since its launch, the Tampa Pig Jig has raised millions for NephCure Kidney International, making it the largest annual donor nationwide. The funds have significantly contributed to nearly 60 clinical trials aimed at finding a cure for kidney diseases.
